The in-game tablet: key, command and rights

In short. The tablet opens your site inside FiveM, already signed in with the loaded character. By default: /agora or the F2 key. You pick the command and the key in Administration → Configuration → Agora resource.

Choose the command and key #

1. Administration → Configuration → Agora resource, Resource configuration block.
2. In-game command: letters, digits and _ (e.g. mdt).
3. Opening key: a FiveM key name, or empty for the command only.
4. Save. The change applies at the next resource restart.

Accepted names: F1 to F24, A to Z, 0 to 9, NUMPAD0 to NUMPAD9, HOME, END, INSERT, DELETE, PAGEUP, PAGEDOWN, TAB, SPACE, RETURN, BACK, LSHIFT, LCONTROL, LMENU (left Alt), UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT… An unknown key is refused, with the list.

Each player can change their key in the GTA settings: Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM.

See the tablet as a player #

The In-game preview (tablet) button, at the top of the page, shows the tablet in a window over the page. The site theme also applies to the tablet.

The tablet frame #

Under the configuration block, Tablet frame lets you import your own frame (PNG with transparency, 4 MB at most) and fit the screen area onto it (left edge, top edge, width, height). The preview shows it right away; in game, you must download or redeploy the resource again, since the frame ships inside its files. Back to the default frame removes it.

What staff see in the tablet #

• The tablet always opens in player view: a staff member only has their player rights there (the "Admin rights in the tablet" setting no longer exists).
• An administrator can switch the tablet to administrator view (the view selector in the navigation bar, as on the site): they then see the whole MDT and the whole forum. A moderator only ever has their player rights. The tablet always reopens in player view.
• In that administrator view, the destructive MDT actions (deleting a record, a file, a photo, an attachment, a penal code article, a vehicle, a court case; managing a department's roster) are refused with the message "do it from the site, signed in with Discord — or switch to player view if your rank allows it". Nothing is changed. In player view, the tablet follows the character's rank, as for any officer.
• Administration, the console, moderation, applications, roles, the license and updates stay closed from the tablet, whatever the view: those gestures are done on the site, in your browser.

What the player needs #

• Discord linked to FiveM.
• A loaded character (on a server with a framework).
• Their game linked to their account, once: see Link your game.

Esc closes the tablet.
