Link your game to your account (just once)

A code from the site, typed into the tablet: after that, the tablet recognises you on its own and your characters show up on the site.

In short. For the tablet to recognise you and your characters to show up on the site, you link your game just once: a code from the site, copied into the tablet. After that, your FiveM license recognises you, not the Discord identifier (which anyone can fake).

Before you start #

  • You have an account on the site: sign in once with Discord.
  • Your Discord is linked to FiveM (the Discord app open on your PC).
  • You are connected to the game server, with a character loaded.
  1. In game, open the tablet (/agora or F2, depending on your server). The Link your account screen shows up.
  2. Outside the game, in your browser, open the site and sign in with Discord.
  3. Click your name (top right) to open My account: a Link my game block shows there as long as your game is not linked. You also find it in My account (a tile of My account). Click Get a code.
  4. Type the code into the tablet, Link code field, then Link my account.

The code is valid for 10 minutes, once only. After that, the tablet opens on its own, signed in with your character.

Never give your code to anyone: whoever types it in game gets in under your name. A new code cancels the previous one.

Before confirming, read the linking page. It tells you who will be linked: "Player to link: …". If that is not you, in game, right now, do not confirm: someone is trying to link their game to your account (for example through a link sent to you).

What it changes #

  • Your characters show up in My account (My character), the MDT and the Dealership.
  • Your duty hours are tied to your account.
  • New computer or FiveM account? Link your game again: the new link replaces the old one.

A game that is already linked does not move to another account #

Once your game is linked, its licenses can no longer be confirmed from another account: neither with a copied link, nor with an older link issued before you linked. The site answers "This game is already linked to another account…" and the link is used up anyway. It is a protection: a stolen or shared link cannot take your characters away. To change Discord account, there is no "unlink my game" button yet: ask an administrator of your server's Agora.
