Report a bug or suggest an idea on our Discord

In short. On the Agora Discord server, report a bug with /bug or by right-clicking a message. It becomes a post in the #bugs forum, triaged by the team. For an idea, use /suggestion. For a problem about your installation (licence, payment, data), open a private ticket instead: see Open a ticket.

Report a bug #

1. In any channel (or in a direct message with the bot), type /bug.
2. Fill in the form:
   • Title: one sentence that sums it up (6 to 100 characters);
   • What happens: what you see, and what you expected (20 characters minimum);
   • Steps to reproduce (optional): what you did, in order;
   • Agora version (optional): shown in Administration → Agora;
   • Severity: Blocking, Annoying or Minor.
3. Send. The bot posts it in #bugs and gives you the link.

Search #bugs first: if the bug is already there, click "I have this bug too" on the post instead of opening a new one. It helps the team prioritise.

From a message #

Someone described the problem in a channel? Right-click the message (long press on mobile) → Apps → Report bug. The form opens already filled with the message text; the post quotes the original message and its attachments.

Follow-up #

The team changes the post's tag as it goes: 🆕 New, 🔍 Confirmed, 🛠️ In progress, ✅ Fixed or 🚫 Closed. You get a direct message from the bot at each change. A fixed or closed post is locked.

Suggest an idea #

/suggestion opens a form (title, description, category). The idea becomes a post in the #suggestions forum, with its status tag (🆕 New, ✅ Accepted, ⛔ Declined, 🚀 Implemented) and its category. Members support it with 👍. The forum tags carry the Agora server's emojis (a standard emoji as a fallback if Discord refuses).

Good to know #

• Up to 10 bugs and 3 suggestions per week per person.
• To avoid bursts: 5 /suggestion per minute per person, and 10 clicks per minute on the vote buttons ("I support", "me too", "Remove"). Beyond that, a reply only you see says "too fast, try again in N s".
• Your Discord account must be at least 7 days old.
• Never paste a key, a password or a full log there: the forums are public. Open a private ticket for that.
• An error shown in Administration → Errors of your Agora is better reported with the Report to Agora button: the private ticket opens already filled in, without secrets. See Report an error to Agora.
