Booking photos (mugshots) and their approval
An officer requests the photo, the suspect's game takes it, and it waits under photos awaiting approval until an officer approves or rejects it.

In short. Two photos coexist. The current portrait updates on its own. The booking photo (mugshot) is requested by an officer, taken by the suspect's game, then approved by an officer before entering the record.
The two photos #
| Current portrait | Booking photo | |
|---|---|---|
| Who takes it | The player's game, automatically | The suspect's game, at an officer's request |
| When | Character load, tablet opening, outfit change (at most once every 45 s) | On request |
| Approval | None | Required: an officer approves or rejects |
| Can be attached to an arrest | No | Yes, once approved |
Take a booking photo #
You need the Take booking photos in game permission, and the suspect must be in game.
- In game, open the suspect's record in the tablet and click 📸 Take the mugshot.
Or type
/mugshotfollowed by their server ID (with no ID, you photograph yourself). - The suspect's game takes the photo. The chat confirms: "Photo received: it awaits your approval in the file".
Approve or reject #
On the citizen's record, Photos awaiting approval block:
- Check that the photo really shows the right person.
- Click Approve: it enters the history and can be attached to an arrest.
- Or Reject: it is erased.
Without a decision, a pending photo expires after 7 days. Agora erases them itself, every six hours: an expired photo is no longer served, and deleting the citizen's record also deletes their pending photos.
If the suspect leaves the server before the photo is taken, the agent does not wait for nothing: they are told ("The target left the server.") and can make a new request right away.
Why an approval? The photo comes from the suspect's game. This way, an image swapped by a modified client never enters a record without a human looking at it.
Before recording an arrest #
Take the photo and approve it before recording the arrest: the arrest screen then offers to attach the booking photo taken by the officer.
Removing a portrait #
On the citizen's page, removing the photo deletes the portrait. So that it does not come back, Agora then blocks the automatic portrait of that character: without that, the player's game would send the same image back the next time the tablet opens. The page shows "automatic portrait blocked", with who removed it and when ("removed by … on …"), and an allow again button (same right as removal: Edit notes on citizen files). Dossier photos requested by an officer are not affected. A portrait removed before this version is not blocked retroactively.
The portrait does not update #
